Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 September 2025  ·  Last updated: 20 September 2026

Key points: Grid connects riders with independent driver-partners. Fares are capped at a maximum 2× surge. Cancellation fees apply after a driver is assigned. For disputes, contact support@nona.cbsemaster.in.

1. Who these Terms apply to

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Grid Technologies Private Limited ("Grid", "we", "our"). They apply to everyone who creates a Grid account or uses the Grid platform — including riders, driver-partners, and visitors to this website.

By registering or using Grid you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use Grid.

2. The service Grid provides

Grid is a technology platform that connects riders seeking transportation with independent driver-partners who provide it. Grid itself is not a transport operator. The transportation service is provided by the driver-partner, who is an independent contractor and not an employee or agent of Grid.

Grid operates in licensed markets only. Our current cities are Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR.

3. Account registration

  • You must provide an accurate email address and a password of at least 12 characters.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • One person may hold one rider account and one driver account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension is prohibited.
  • Driver accounts additionally require identity document verification before you may accept trips.

4. Fares and surge pricing

Fares are calculated from distance, time, vehicle class, and real-time demand. Grid applies a maximum surge cap of 2.0× the base fare — even during very high demand, you will never be charged more than twice the standard rate.

The quoted fare shown before you confirm a trip is binding. The final charge will not exceed that amount except where a trip is extended at your request.

Operator staff may adjust a fare after the fact for documented errors (for example, a routing fault). You will be notified of any such adjustment.

5. Cancellation and no-show policy

Scenario Cancellation fee
Cancelled before a driver is assigned No charge
Cancelled after a driver is assigned but before they arrive ₹30 or 10% of fare (whichever is lower)
Rider no-show (driver waited 5 min after arrival) ₹50 flat fee

If a driver cancels, you pay nothing and are re-matched automatically.

6. Driver-partner obligations

By registering as a driver on Grid you confirm that:

  • You hold a valid commercial driving licence for the vehicle class you selected.
  • Your vehicle is roadworthy, insured for commercial use, and registered in your name or with your employer's authorisation.
  • You will comply with all applicable traffic laws and Motor Vehicles Act regulations.
  • You will not carry more passengers than the vehicle's licensed capacity.
  • You will treat riders with respect and maintain a clean, safe vehicle.

Grid reserves the right to suspend or terminate a driver account for any violation of these obligations, a sustained low rating, or regulatory non-compliance.

7. Rider obligations

  • You must be the person requesting the trip (or have the authorisation of the person travelling).
  • You will not use Grid for any unlawful purpose.
  • You will treat drivers respectfully. Harassment, threats, or damage to a vehicle are grounds for immediate account suspension and may be reported to law enforcement.
  • You will wear a seatbelt where one is provided.

8. Ratings and feedback

After each trip riders may rate their driver and drivers may rate their rider, on a 1–5 scale. Ratings are averaged over the most recent 100 trips. Accounts with a sustained average below 3.5 may be suspended pending review.

Ratings must reflect your genuine experience. Submitting false ratings to damage another user is prohibited.

9. Prohibited uses

You must not:

  • Use Grid to transport controlled substances, weapons, or hazardous materials.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with Grid's systems.
  • Resell Grid trips or use the platform for commercial courier services without a written agreement with Grid.
  • Create accounts on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.
  • Use automated means to request trips or manipulate pricing or matching.

10. Liability and disclaimers

Grid provides the matching platform. Transportation itself is provided by independent driver-partners. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

  • Grid is not liable for the actions, omissions, or negligence of driver-partners.
  • Grid's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the fare paid for the trip in question.
  • Grid is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost time or data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Grid's own negligence, or for fraud.

11. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint about a trip, contact support@nona.cbsemaster.in. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Fare disputes must be raised within 7 days of the trip.

If a dispute is not resolved, either party may refer it to the consumer forum with jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for the state in which the trip originated.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these Terms

Grid may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continued use of Grid after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must stop using Grid and may request account deletion.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@nona.cbsemaster.in. Grid may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms, regulatory requirement, or serious safety concern, with notice where possible.

On termination, your right to use the platform ceases. Sections 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
